D4: Dark Dreams Now Available for Xbox One

By   /   Sep 19, 2014

The episodic action-adventure title D4: Dark Dreams from Access Games is now available on the Xbox One, Microsoft has announced.

The game was originally announced at E3 2014 earlier this year during Microsoft’s press event. The game is so far exclusive to its new console and has Hidetaka “Swery65″ Suehiro behind it, who is known for his work on Deadly Premonition.

The game stars David Young, a private investigator, as the main character whose wife gets murdered. The “traumatic events” surrounding her death have a strong effect on Young and leave him unable to recall past memories. It however bestows him with the supernatural ability to travel through time. By touching artifacts called “mementos” Young can unravel the truth behind his wife’s death and could potentially prevent it from ever happening.

D4: Dark Dreams uses Kinect controls with “simple gestures and voice” on the Xbox One. It boasts cel-shaded graphics and has been received positively by everyone. The only complain thus far is that it ends on a cliffhanger.
