Kojima Considering to Release New Silent Hills in Episodes

By   /   Sep 18, 2014

The first time we heard of the Silent Hill series’ return was last month when a playable teaser for new Silent Hills game was released to PlayStation 4. Now, developer Kojima Productions is again discussing it.

If you have missed out, check out the TGS 2014 trailer for the horrifying experience that it is. Other than that, it looks like the developers are planning to release the horror game in episodes.

What actually happened was that Konami held a showcase event at Tokyo game Show 2014 where they talked about Silent Hills in great detail.

During the whole discussion regarding the game, it was also revealed by veteran game maker Hideo Kojima that they were considering the episodic method of releasing the game.

He said that the development team at Kojima Production was currently looking into how different television series were scheduled and released – a similar format could be thought up for the game. However, he did clarify that this was only one of the considerations they were making for Silent Hill and it didn’t mean that a decision had been taken.

From what we have learnt about Silent Hills so far, we can say that it is only in the earliest stages of development which is why asking a release date sounds a bit premature. We will have to wait a little longer before a window is shared with us.
