Bayonetta 2 Trailer Shows Nintendo Cosplay for Link, Daisy, Samus Aran and More

By   /   Sep 18, 2014

What is the primary reason that you are looking forward to the next iteration in the Bayonetta series? Is it the game’s worth or the fact that it is a Wii U exclusive?

How about we give you another reason? Check out the Bayonetta 2 trailer above and see how the idea of Nintendo cosplay gives it a new taste.

In this short trailer, you see the protagonist dressed up as many popular characters from the Nintendo universe. However, that is not all, every new costume brings in other changes to the game too.

There is the Hero of Time cosplay that dresses her up as Link; the Halos get replaced by Rupees as she wears the famed tunic. You will also see her wearing Fox McCloud’s costumes and when she is at it, she uses Arwings as guns and even gets Fox, Peppy, Slippy and Falco’s miniature dolls hung from the guns.

There are costumes of Daisy and Peach as well and after wearing them, you see Bowser visiting the Bayonetta 2 world to help her. Coins drop instead of Halos. There also is the Samus Aran cosplay with the Varia Suit. Want to turn Bayonetta into a morph ball? She experiences other changes in her movement too.

Bayonetta 2 is being developed by Platinum Games in association with Nintendo SPD as a Wii U exclusive. The action hack and slash title will be released in Japan on September 20, 2014. The North American and European region will get it on October 24, 2014 and Australia one day later.
