Ryse Son of Rome PC Version Compared with Xbox One by Crytek

Crytek’s latest action adventure was released to Xbox One in November last year as a timed exclusive; now we are finally talking about the Ryse Son of Rome PC version.

With the release date looming in closer every day, it sounded like a good idea to compare the graphics and visuals of the previous iteration of the game with the upcoming one.

Developers took some time out to discuss all that in an interview where they shared some of the highlights where the game had been taken up another notch in the PC version.

As expected, the PC version of the game is going to have higher quality of textures that the previous version and the Level of Detail (LOD) transition in case of the PC version is going to be much more subtle.

Talking of the same, the developers also confirmed that due to softer shadows, the LOD transitions will not be as noticeable as before.

Moving on, some of the aspects that have been confirmed to have had improvements includes SMAA T1x, which has a further improved version; also 1.5X1.5 ad 2X2 SSAA will be available separately from the SMAA; lastly, the SSDO has been improved from Crysis 3.

Ryse Son of Rome PC version has been developed by Crytek Frankfurt who will be releasing the game worldwide on October 10, 2014.
