The Evil Within TGS Trailer Goes from Classical to Tense in a Jiffy

The Evil Within releases in less than a month now, and in two days, you will be able to get more out of it at the Tokyo Game Show 2014. However, we already have a piece of that for you. The Evil Within TGS trailer has been released, and is it a treat or what!

It kicks off with a slow classical music that almost makes you forget what kind of a videogame we are talking about. Even more so, a couple of serene images of home and flowery fields also flash on the screen as the protagonist Sebastian Castellanos limps through a hospital.

That is when the voice off Ruvik starts echoing ‘I know who you are, who you think you are. I know what you crave, and what you fear. Will you be able to live with yourself knowing what I am going to make you do?’

That in itself is intense; however, the heat comes in next.

The trailer talks about ‘someone’ who dragged our protagonist into ‘this’ and the voice goes on to say that now ‘you are mine to do with as I please.’ What follows is a series of increasingly scary glimpses of the game’s world along with increasingly tense music. The world about which Revik says:

I created this world, you cannot keep me here!

The Evil Within will be unleashed in the North American and European region on October 14, 2014 while it will be released in Australia on October 16, 2014.
