Invitations Start Rolling Out For Bloodborne’s Alpha Testing
Some ‘lucky’ PlayStation 4 owners are reporting to having received invitations from Sony for an alpha test of Bloodborne.
The email states that the small-scale test is to gather community feedback and other data related to the game’s online experience, one of which I presume to be a simple stress test alongside bug reports.
Sony has yet to officially acknowledge the invitations and for now, we’re unsure as to what criteria the company is looking for to make one eligible to be a participant. Speculations suggest that the invitations have been issued to those who have earned platinum trophies in any of the previous Souls games such as the recent Dark Souls II title.
While you can make a mental note to check your email regularly, you can also enroll to register for Bloodborne’s alpha access through the PlayStation Network website.
Bloodborne is scheduled to release on February 5, 2015 exclusively for the PlayStation 4. The game is essentially Dark Souls II at its core, with improvements made to various aspects. The game still carries the traditional difficulty level and brings over the same yet smoother gameplay mechanics.
In Bloodborne, you will be put in the city of Yharnam which is known for its medical remedies; however, your arrival in the city couldn’t have come at a worse time as the whole city is struck with a virus and it is up to you to survive in this dangerous place.
