Halo Reach Now Free As Part of Xbox 360 Games With Gold

By   /   Sep 16, 2014

Are you a fan Halo? And are you a gold subscriber on Xbox 360? If so, then you are in for a special treat this month. In the first two weeks of September, 360 owners were able to download Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine as part of Microsoft’s Games With Gold service.

Monaco is now removed and is replaced with Halo Reach. Yes, you read it right. Halo Reach will be free to download for the rest of this month as long as you are an Xbox Live Gold subscriber.

Bungie’s first-person shooter Halo reach was released back in 2010 for Xbox 360. The story of the title takes place shortly before the happenings of Halo: Combat Evolved.

Players will take control of Noble Six, a new addition to UNSC Noble Team and will take part in a war against a collective of alien races called “Covenant.”

Halo Reach is the only title not included in the upcoming Halo: The Master Chief Collection. No worries though as it is now free to play.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be available for Xbox One starting November 11 and features Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 & 4.

That’s a lot of Halo to keep us occupied until the release of Halo 5: Guardians in late 2015.
