Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – New Momentum Mode Revealed
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is going to feature a new game mod called Momentum and today we get to see it in action.
Momentum is inspired by the mode War featured in Call of Duty: World at War, which was released back in 2008 by Treyarch. It’s basically Domination with all five capture points placed in a straight line instead of random locations.
So why has Sledgehammer Games decided on bringing back the mode? The game’s lead multiplayer designer explains the decision and reasons behind its return in the video. He also provides commentary on the mode in action as well, which is played in the ‘Retreat’ map.
Earlier today, co-founder of Sledgehammer Games Michael Condrey confirmed that the upcoming title will have nearly 350 weapons. We already know that the game will boast up to 15 prestige levels, with 50 ranks per level.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is scheduled to release on November 4 for all major platforms. The game features a Day Zero Edition that holds ‘awesome looking gear’ as incentive for pre-orders and additionally gives owners a full 24 hours of exclusive play before the rest of the world.
It contains the following contents:
- Two Custom Weapons, AK-12G Assault Rifle and the Crossbow-B2
- Double XP on November 3rd
- The Advanced Arsenal featuring the Bullet-brass Exo-Skeleton and the EM1 Quantum
