Xbox 360: Blue Edition Revealed; Three Bundles Announced for October
Microsoft has announced three new Xbox 360 bundles that will be available for purchase next month.
After almost a decade, Microsoft has created a new blue edition for the console.
There are no custom textures or fancy artwork on the hardware. The console comes plain and simple in a shade of blue. That minimalistic look is what makes this blue version look gorgeous and is simply the best Xbox 360 edition we’ve seen yet.
The blue edition though is going to only be available at Walmart in the US and will retail for $249. In that price you can opt for a blue 500 GB Xbox 360 with a matching controller, a copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
The same bundle is also available in the traditional black color and will retail for the same price. This, however, will be available for purchase from all major retailers in the US.
A third bundle features a 4 GB Kinect bundle, along with Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, and Forza Horizon. This will also retail at $249 but will be available only at Target.
All three bundles will release on Tuesday, October 7. I’m sure everyone will be rushing for the blue edition. Microsoft has not mentioned whether this bundle will be available while supply lasts. It’s better not to take any risks and be there on the release date.
According to CVP of Xbox Marketing, the three new bundles are “for holiday shoppers” and come with “new lower price points.” The release of the Xbox One has certainly been keeping the company busy, but it’s great to see that it has not forgotten about its last-gen Xbox 360 console.
