Summer Lesson Project Morpheus Tech Demo is no Longer Part of TGS
Project Morpheus was suppose to have its big Japan appearance at TGS later this month and a tech demo for Summer Lesson was planned for that purpose but now the demo has been canceled.
Katsuhiro Harada, who you may recognizee as the lead dev on the Tekken team is currently working on Summer Lesson. Harada took to twitter to reveal the disappointing news of this cancellation.
Unfortunately, the reason behind this is said to be the show floor capacity which could have become an operational problem.
In addition, a single playthrough of the demo takes about 5 to 6 minutes and the Sony booth only has one demo unit available. Considering that, only 50 to 70 players per day will be able to try out the Project Morpheus demo according to Harada.
Namco Bandai has asked Sony to increase the number of demo units in the booth but it seems very difficult to balance with other content.
Thankfully, the demo will be showcased in an event specifically held for it, so more players can enjoy the Summer Lesson Project Morpheus tech demo. When this event will be held is not yet announced but it is expected soon.
