Shadow Warrior’s PS4 and Xbox One Release Delayed
Namco Bandai has decided to delay the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Shadow Warrior by a month.
The publisher didn’t quite give a valid reason as to why the current-gen ports are being pushed back, but usually it’s so to give them enough time to polish off the game even more.
Shadow Warrior was originally due for release on September 26 but will now release on October 24 instead. Currently, we can safely assume that the port of the 2013 reboot will not be delayed any further.
Shadow Warrior on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will feature exclusive content. There will be a new Arena mode where players will be pitted against waves of enemies in three custom-designed environments.
An all-new campaign will also be included that features the head of the nefarious Zilla corporation. Finally, Namco Bandai is adding exclusive weapons, including the sledgehammer from Serious Sam 3, the katana from Hotline Miami, the classic Shadow Warrior katana and the Zilla Enterprises Z45 katana.
The game will be priced at $39.99, with Devolver Digital and Majesco Entertainment handling digital and retail distribution respectively in North America. Shadow Warrior stars Lo Wang, who has to put down the evil corporation Zilla Enterprise and its plans for domination.
