Endless Legend Launches September 18, Free Soundtrack Up Now
Strategy game Endless Legend will release on PC on September 18, 2014. Publisher Iceberg Interactive announced that their second strategy title from developer Amplitude Studios is ready to leave Early Access, after a moderate testing period.
One day after the digital release of the game, you’ll also be able to get a retail copy of Endless Legend, which comes with an artbook and a hefty user manual. Iceberg Interactive posted what this would look like on their Twitter feed.
Ahead of the imminent release, the game’s soundtrack has also been made available for free through Bandcamp. There are 32 lengthy tracks included, which should give you a solid hour of carefully arranged orchestral compositions.
Be sure to hit the “Buy Now” button on Bandcamp to download the soundtrack in a pay-what-you-want model. It’s available for free, though you can always leave them some spare change.
Endless Legend follows the global conquest trait of 4X genres of strategy titles. Players build an empire from humble beginnings and turn the planet of Auriga to their will through exploration, exploitation and extermination.
There are eight factions to choose from, each with their own heroes that can either lead squads or govern a certain city. These characters can also be enhanced with more skills and equipment for some added roleplaying game (RPG) flair.
Lands are also filled with minor factions that range anywhere from dwarves to vicious demons. Random events can further diversify gameplay.
Iceberg interactive and Amplitude Studios previously worked together for another strategy title, Endless Space. Endless Legend is the continuation of that game.
