Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Will Feature Four Episodes in Total

Capcom has revealed that its upcoming Resident Evil: Revelations 2 title will be an episodic game.

New episodes will be released each week following the game’s release in early 2015. According to the developer, there will be four episodes in total and each one is promised to feature “hours of terrifying gameplay ending with dramatic cliff-hangers.”

Once all four episodes have been released, Capcom will then make available the entire season on disc for interested users.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will feature Claire Redfield and Moira Burton who both wake up in an abandoned detention facility. The setup isn’t anything new but nonetheless promises a “classic survival horror style” with plenty of twists and turns.

“The beginning of the Resident Evil Revelations 2 tale sees fan favorite Claire Redfield make a dramatic return to the horrors that haunted her in the past,” says Capcom. “Survivor of the Raccoon City incident depicted in previous Resident Evil games, Claire now works for the anti-bioterrorism organization Terra Save.

“With the terrifying Afflicted enemies waiting around every dark corner, players will need to use their ammo and weapon supply wisely, in classic survival horror style.”

Each episode will cost €5.99, while the complete season will be priced at €24.99.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is scheduled to release early next year for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. More information has been promised to be revealed in the coming weeks.
