Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada has stated on Twitter that more information on the upcoming Tekken 7 title will be revealed on Sunday during the Namco Sugamo Cup.

He however, did not mention as to what kind of information we’ll be receiving. Will it be another cinematic trailer, perhaps a character reveal or maybe a good dose of gameplay footage, we’ll just have to wait it out to find out.

The Namco Sugamo Cup, as well as the Tekken 7 reveal, will all be live streamed on Niconico this weekend.

Tekken 7 is the latest installment in the iconic fighting franchise which will be targeting the new current-gen consoles. The game has been revealed to be built using Unreal Engine 4.

“With Unreal Engine 4, we can rapidly achieve the visual quality expected on next-gen platforms and go beyond it,” Katsuhiro Harada said back in July upon the game’s announcement. “Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, but it allows us to easily bring Tekken 7 to any platform we desire.”

Tekken 7 has been confirmed for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A PC version is currently floating about as rumor with product listings being spotted on the web. Additionally, it’s unknown if the developers plan to bring over a port for the previous-gen consoles as well.
