By   /   Sep 10, 2014

Licenced under Nintendo, Hori Battle pads will be coming out for the Wii U in November. There are two versions of the upcoming pads.

One of which is the Hori Battle Luigi version (in green) and the other is Hori Battle Pad Mario Versions (in red) . Both are available for pre-order at Amazon for the price of $24.99.

The new pads are similar to the PDP (Performance Designed Products) controllers for the Wii U and are said to be perfect for Super Smash Bros.

The controller features short stroke L and R buttons, 3 separate Turbo settings, and a large D-pad. When compared to the original Gamecube controller, these pads are pretty similar in terms of shape and functionality.

New Hori Battle Pads are Compatible with Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro supported titles and most Nintendo Virtual Console titles.

While the 3DS version of the game is coming out on October 3, 2014 in North America, there is no announcement made regarding the release date of the  Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. But the game is expected to come out sometime later this year.
