Tales of Xillia 2 – Pay €14.99 For 8 Sport DLC Costumes

Leave it to Japanese publishers to really still hammer the downloadable content (DLC) in games like Tales of Xillia 2 hard.

After just a few weeks of release, the game has added an extensive line of extras, with a sport costumes pack as its latest effort.

Tales of Xillia has some pretty neat customization elements; that much can be said about the game. Characters can be fitted with various trinkets, which are even reflected during the many cutscenes in the game.

In the accompanying trailer, we see the team in Tales of Xillia 2 donning their fresh new threads. Some wear jerseys, others kimonos and one has a stylish polo on.

There’s also some accompanying gameplay footage in there, in case you wanted to see the clothes in action. Also, you’ll get to see some more outfits, such as a baseball uniform.

We’ll give you a list of what character takes on what sport in this DLC pack:

  • Ludger: Basketball
  • Jude: American Football
  • Milla: Tennis
  • Alvin: Baseball
  • Elize: Gymnastics
  • Rowen: Archery
  • Leia: Football
  • Gaius: Judo

How much do these few costumes set you back? Well, the price is set at a rather steep €14.99. That’s quite some buck for your fan service.

Perhaps the worst part is that this is only one of several DLC items that Tales of Xillia 2 tries to syphon funds from. It has a ton of separately sold outfits for €2.99 each, as well as extra headwear, accessories and even ways to level up and bypass the game completely.

DLC doesn’t need to be a bad thing, but maybe just tone it down a little, you know?
