Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will see to Claire Redfield and Barry Burton’s daughter Moira take center stage as a duo.

With two characters being offered, Capcom has revealed that players can choose to play the entire campaign solo or co-op. Amongst the two, Claire will be the more tougher veteran who will be doing most of the fighting. Moira on the other hand will have more of a support role and give out herbs for healing or hold a flashlight so that Claire has her hands free.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 was announced earlier this week by Capcom and promises to return the franchise to its survival horror roots. The game is set between Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6.

Little is known about the story, except for Claire and Moira waking up in an abandoned island detention facility. They’ll face of the regular undead horde but this time there will also be a new type of enemy called the Afflicted. These are faster and strike harder. Players will have to think twice before dealing with this new kind.

Capcom has stated that it has taken inspiration from games like The Last of Us and Tomb Raider for Resident Evil: Revelations 2. Additionally the team will be bringing some elements from older Resident Evil titles which they promise fans will love.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will release sometime in 2015 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
