While the Xbox Live Rewards program is not new and Microsoft has implemented in the past as well, it has been reworked and the new program went live yesterday, 4th September.
Under the program, users will be able to get points by completing surveys, buying stuff from Xbox Live Store and completing Punchcards. This dedication can then be turned into real money atleast 5000 Reward Credits are required) which will be added to their Microsoft account for future purchases.
The Reward points can also be used to redeem games, movies and other media from the Xbox Live Store on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Players can even track their Xbox Live usage against friends and the global community with MyStats; an exclusive feature of Xbox Live Rewards.
Every dollar spent on the Store increases VIP star progression, the more stars a user has the better rewards they will get from the program.
Users can even earn Reward Points by having their friends subscribe to the Xbox Live Gold membership, each friend that does will grant the user who referred them 1000 Reward Points.
