Styx: Master of Shadows Releases “Assassin’s Green” Clip
Publisher Focus Home Interactive has put out a new trailer for Styx: Master of Shadows. It’s called “Assassin’s Green,” which is a play on words about another game franchise you might be familiar with.
It starts off with titular goblin Styx balancing on some beams over a guard site. The character can make use of special abilities, such as a view that reveals where characters are located through obstructions.
There’s also a cover system in the game that makes the goblin cling to surfaces to hide. This is handy to catch enemies off guard, as seen with a bloody execution when one walks around the corner.
Styx also has the ability to turn invisible. This can be used either to evade any guards or to crawl in their backs and murder them.
We also get to see some scaling being done. It’s just as swift as in Assassin’s Creed and it’s followed up by a similar airborne kill as well.
We’re not exactly sure why you’d want to market your game being similar to another, but hopefully it shows its quality by comparison that way.
There are some things Styx: Master of Shadows seems to do for its own. For instance, it’s possible to extinguish torches to affect the lighting, which improves stealth.
Moreover, Styx can be seen performing a muffled takedown, which takes longer to happen. Even the environment can be used to kill others, such as a cargo crate falling on someone’s head.
Styx: Master of Shadows is headed for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC this October.
