Red And Blue Smash Bros. Themed 3DS XL Might Be Launching On US Starting 19th September

If these recent listings of Walmart are to be believed, two new 3DS XLs will soon be launching in the US. The red and blue colored devices themed after Ninentdo’s Super Smash Bros. seem to be scheduled to go on sale starting September 19th.

The devices will be priced at $200 and while they do seem to be limited-edition versions designed for the game, they do not seem to be bundled with a copy the highly awaited 3DS title which means that users will not be getting some sort of early access to the game if they purchase these versions of the 3DS.

A red and black Super Smash Bros.-themed 3DS XL is slated to hit Europe on the same date as the game release on October 3. The console comes with a pre-downloaded copy of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS.

This isn’t the first-time Nintendo has released a limited-edition 3DS XL designed after one of its games. The company released red and blue limited edition consoles for Pokemon X and Y last year as well.

There still has been no word from Nintendo about the authenticity of this Walmart listing and its release date.
