Jagged Alliance: Flashback Gets Tactical Overload And Release Date
Developer Full Control has launched its Tactical Overload update for Jagged Alliance: Flashback on Early Access. Additionally, the strategy game has received a release date and hereby launches on Steam on October 21, 2014.
There is quite a lot of new content in this iteration of the franchise that wants to go back to its original scope. For instance, combat is enhanced with view cones and an interrupt model.
Interrupt allow soldiers to move before their opponent, if they can spot them. Action points are tied to interrupts, depending on what weapons are involved.
View cones show what characters are seeing. Here as well, the width of the cone will be determined on what weapon a unit holds.
Those who want more stealth in Jagged Alliance: Flashback can now rely on melee combat. So, you can sneak up on others and then take them out for a more silent approach.
There are now also quickslots in the game, which can be unlocked through certain equipment. These slots allow characters to wield more gear that they can access without spending action points.
In the latest update of Jagged Alliance: Flashback, the user interface has also been redone.
Naturally, there are new mercenaries and sectors as well, because content is always of prime importance. In total, you can find 16 additional sectors, as well as recruit 13 more mercs.
Jagged Alliance: Flashback is on Early Access for $39.99 or €34.99. Developer Full Control previously also had a hand in the Warhammer Space Hulk game, as well as the free-to-plat strategy title Frontline Tactics.
