WWE 2K15 Might Get Delayed Due to CM Punk

By   /   Sep 4, 2014

WWE 2K15 is expected to release on October 28th, but it looks like that the game might get delayed due to WWE’s issues with CM Punk.

CM Punk got into a fight with WWE earlier this year and due to this reason left the company and despite huge demand from the fans, didn’t return.

Both of the parties have really been quiet about the dispute, but now CM Punk’s lawyer has sent a 22 paged letter to WWE to demand the royalty payments for the use of his likeness in upcoming video game WWE 2K15.

It looks like that the development on the WWE 2K Showcase mode started way before the fight between CM Punk and WWE, which is why Visual Concepts was unable to remove him from the game.

His role in Showcase Mode is very critical and I am sure that WWE would want to settle this matter sooner rather than later, so that the game can release on the planned date without any issues.

This is all we have for now, but we will keep you posted as the situation develops in the coming days.

WWE 2K15 is scheduled to release on 28th of October for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
