Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze is a New Side-Scroller from WayForward
Publisher Activision has announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze, a new side-scrolling action-adventure title that will be released later this year.
The game is in development at WayForward Technologies who previously have brought us BloodRayne Betrayal and Silent Hill: Book of Memories. According to the announcement, the upcoming TMNT game is set between the second and third seasons of the latest Nickelodeon cartoon series.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze will feature arch-nemesis Shredder, Tiger Claw and a band of mutants; all of whom have plans brewing that do not have the best interest of New York at heart. The new threat will see to the Turtles come out of their underground lair to fight back.
Not much is known about the gameplay, except that it’s being built around a “vast, interconnected, non-linear game world, which rewards exploration and creative thinking.” Players will be able to freely switch between all four turtles on the fly where each comes with a unique set of skills, stats, strengths and weaknesses.
The developer has promised stealth options, as well as counters, finishing moves and a barrage of combos. More will be revealed in the coming months as we approach closer to the game’s release.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze is in development for the PS3, Xbox 360 and 3DS.
