Sony has announced that the highly anticipated next-gen port of Minecraft is finally going to land today on PlayStation 4.

For the players who have not purchased the game before will be able to play the new version at the price of $19.99.

On the other hand, PS3 owners of Minecraft will not have to pay that much as they will be able to get the upgraded version by paying just 4.99 USD. Here’s what you will need to do:

On the PS4, simply log into PlayStation Store and find Minecraft PS4 Edition, and you’ll be able purchase the upgrade for $4.99.

This entitlement applies to everyone who’s bought Minecraft PS3 Edition (Disc or Digitally) with a saved game and signed into their PS4 console using the same SEN account.

Upon transferring your save files into the game, you will be able to continue right where you left off.

The developers are claiming that the universe in the upgraded version of the game is 36 times bigger than what you get on last-gen consoles.

Previously, Minecraft PS4 version failed the final testing at Sony and the game was sent back to the developers so that they can fix the issues that were ruining the game.

Now that PS4 version of the game is finally releasing, are you going to get it?
