Limited Edition Dragon Quest Metallic Playstation 4 Announced for Japan

By   /   Sep 1, 2014

Japanese market will soon be seeing another Special Edition Playstation 4, Japanese magazine Famitsu has confirmed!

Dubbed as Dragon Quest Metallic Slime Edition, the console is announced to celebrate the announcement of Dragon Quest Heroes for both Playstation 3 and Playstation 4.

Unlike the most Limited Edition PS4 (which only feature LASER-etched designs and a charcoal black standard console), this edition features both the main console and Dualshock IV in metallic silver colour scheme along with a designed slime figure. The Metallic Slime that you can see on top of the console is actually a USB cover, according to Famitsu.

Dragon Quest Metallic Slime Edition is expected to launch alongside the game in spring 2015. As for the pricing details, SCE has not yet divulged any.

Besides, I’m not even rooting for it since most of the Limited Edition consoles announced for Japan remain exclusive to Japan – Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Frozen Limited Editions speak for me.

Coming to Dragon Quest Heroes, it is being developed by Dynasty Warriors developer Omega Force and is expected to be more action-based – unlike other instalments in the role-playing games’ franchise.
