Assassin’s Creed Rogue Protagonist Shay Discussed With Gameplay Details

By   /   Sep 1, 2014

What we heard of as Comet in March was officially unveiled as Assassin’s Creed Rogue on August 5 and since then the fans of the AC universe are pushing for more details on the title.

We know that the game has ties with Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed Unity, it is also going to serve as the sequel to Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. However, the developers decided to share more.

On the official Twitter profile of the series, producer Ivan Balabanov answered a long list of questions that were asked by the anticipating fans and as a result revealed quite a lot.

To start off, the protagonist Shay will be able to wear multiple outfits, will get exposed to first civilization artifacts, will have a professional relationship with Haytham – but something tells me that there will be more to it. Moving on, it has been confirmed that Shay is not a part of Desmond’s ancestry and he is not a villain too – rather a powerful anti-hero.

While there will be many new weapons, the armor that Shay wears is visually of the same style as that of Edward (but it is not the same armor!). When it comes to using both of these things, most of the side missions will keep you busy with ‘Templar experience’ and killing assassins.

Talking of the water, while the game is set in the North American wilderness, North Atlantic and New York, the naval experience will be expanded. You will have new features like puckle gun, burning oil and reverse boarding. However, there will be no underwater diving in the game.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is being developed by Ubisoft Sofia, Ubisoft Milan and Ubisoft Montreal together for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game is slated for a release in the North American territories on November 11, 2014 and in the PAL region two days later on November 13, 2014.
