New Yakuza Zero Screenshots Show Characters and the City

Only a couple of days ago, Sega fulfilled its promise and announced the next game in the Yakuza series, it is called Yakuza Zero: The Place of Oath. Looking at how the news had got all the Yakuza fans excited, the developers have now released some new screenshots for the game as well.

The images show both of the protagonists Kazuma Kiryu and Majima Goro in a younger age. However, as you can see from the screenshots that they only look younger but not any less daunting.

This game is a prequel to the original title in which Kazuma is just a Debt Collector for Tojo Clan while Majima is the owner of a cabaret club.

Other images show off the playground that you are going to get for the action when Yakuza Zero releases. A road lit up with neon signs and lights is shown as looked at from a crossing in the fictional districts of Kamurocho and Soutenbori of Osaka and Toyko. These probably show how the districts looked in 1988.

We had been told at the game reveal that it is being developed for PS3 and PS4 but it was not clarified whether the title will see a western release or not.

If you are interested in finding out more about Yakuza Zero, make sure you don’t miss a thing at the Tokyo Game Show which starts on September 18.
