Titanfall: Update 6 Adds Pilot Skirmish Mode Which Removes Titans and AI

By   /   Aug 28, 2014

Details about the new update 6 for Titanfall have been revealed and the major highlight is a new “Pilot Skirmish” mode.

The featured Team Deathmatch mode pits 16 players against each other in two teams of eight, without the presence of AI bots and Titans. Such a mode has been constantly requested by the community in the past and the players would be happy to know that Respawn Entertainment is finally delivering on that request.

The update also adds an “ultra-rare” Burn Card called Roll the Dice, the permanent addition of Marked for Death, a colorblind mode to improve quality of life for affected players, the ability to buy individual cards from Black Market Daily Deals, and the Burn Card Auto Fill option that ensures pilots will never go into a match with empty card slots again.

Additionally players will no longer be penalized for joining late. “If you join a match that is more than half way over and your team is not winning, a loss will not be counted on your record. If the match is a win for your team, we’ll count it as one.”

On top of all of that there are a number of gameplay and balance changes that have been listed on the official Titanfall blog.

The developer has not given a release date for the update but it’s expected to arrive in the next couple of weeks. By then the newest map pack, IMC Rising, is also expected to release.
