Halo 2 Lockout Map Revealed For Halo Master Chief Collection
Halo Master Chief Collection is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated 2014 titles for Xbox One. While game provides a complete overhaul to all Halo titles featuring Master Chief, Halo 2 Anniversary Edition’s remastered version is the one most talked about.
343 Industries has been slowly revealing the remastered maps since the collection was announced at E3 2014. The latest map to be revealed turns out to be Lockout, one of the flagship Halo 2 tournament maps.
Players who did play Halo 2 multiplayer remember the map well since it has been played countless times across various game modes including Oddball, King of the Hill, CTF and Team Slayer.
Lockout is the 5th map announced so far which is getting the remastered treatment and judging by the comparison images released by 343 Industries, it looks absolutely stunning!
Max Hoberman (president of Certain Affinity), who was lead designer on the original Halo 2 and whose studio is working with 343 on multiplayer for the Master Chief Collection, wrote, “Lockout was hands-down the most popular small arena-style map in Halo 2.”
So far the other four maps which have been revealed are Sanctuary, Zanzibar, Coagulation and Ascension.
While Halo 2 Anniversary Edition will include all of the maps and modes from the original game with graphical updates, team is only working on completely remastering only six of the maps, five of which have been revealed.
