Dust: An Elysian Tail Coming to PlayStation 4 “Soon”

By   /   Aug 28, 2014

Dust: An Elysian Tail is going to arrive on the PlayStation 4 “really really soon,” announced Humble Hearts today.

The 2D side-scrolling platformer was originally released by Microsoft Studios on the Xbox 360 back in 2012 and then a year later on the PC. While the announcement does not specificy a release date for the PlayStation 4 version, expect it to arrive before the holiday season.

In his announcement on the PlayStation Blog, game creator Dean Dodrill revealed that the hand-drawn side-scroller will run in glorious 1080p at 60 frames per second on Sony’s new console. It would had been even better if Humble Hearts had revealed whether the PlayStation 4 version will feature any exclusive or additional quests, be it main or optional.

Dust: An Elysian Tail takes place in the fictional world of Falana, which is inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. The player controls Dust, who wields a sentient sword called the Blade of Ahrah. In his journey to remember his past, he is accompanied by the sword’s guardian Fidget who can use magical attacks.
