DayZ Standalone Update 0.49 Release Pushed Back by a Week
Fans looking forward to the update 0.49 for DayZ Standalone will have to wait a bit longer. The Official Dayz Blog revealed that the update 0.49 for the Standalone title will be delayed by a week.
The reason to this was to allow a “strong QA pass”. Furthermore the blog also stated that 0.49 involves “an extensive code merge from the team in Bratislava” which includes some work on navigation mesh, animal AI, horticulture, and animation system changes. So the update was pushed back a little for the code merge.
“Over the last week the team has been working on finishing the final tasks for 0.49. Included in this work was an extensive code merge from the team in Bratislava, focused on navigation mesh, animal AI, horticulture, and animation system changes. Due to this merge, we’ve decided to push the 0.49 update out by one week.”
The experimental branch however, will be getting the update as the devs look to expand testing before the stable branch update. In addition, According to the blog post, Battleye will start broadcasting the message, warning players about the coming “stable hive” reset that come along with the update 0.49.
BattlEye will begin broadcasting a message every hour warning users of the upcoming stable hive reset that comes with the 0.49 update.
