Assassin’s Creed Unity Rift Mode Leaked, Altair, Ezio and Others Returning?

By   /   Aug 26, 2014

Master Assassin Altair and Ezio are making a comeback in Assassin’s Creed Unity!

Well, not exactly in the way you might be thinking. Apart from the story mode and Co-Op missions, Unity will apparently be getting a “Rift Mode”. According to a leak on reddit, which suggests that game will feature a new mode in addition to story and Co-Op and that it is currently in closed testing.

Rift Mode allows players to assume the roles of known Assassins like Ezio, Altair, Edward Kenway and the female Assassin Evelyn are among some other playable characters. In the mode, players will compete in races through a map collecting glyphs.

Players will be competing to post a best time and can even take on ghosts of other players to beat their best time. Not exactly competitive multiplayer but still a unique diversion from the main game.

Being a fan of the series and Assassins like Altair and Ezio, I personally feel and believe that there are much better ways to showcase these amazing characters instead of making them run around collecting glyphs. But that’s just my opinion and I am keen to know what’s yours.
