Titan Souls Gameplay Looks Like Zelda of the Colossus
Publisher Devolver Digital launched a gameplay trailer for Titan Souls, its upcoming action adventure for PC, Playstation 4 and PS Vita. It features a lot of boss fights, because that’s really all the game is about.
Titan Souls is harsh. Players are a tiny character in a backdrop of some classic pixel art sceneries, reminiscent of grand locations in Zelda and its kindred spirits. Heroes are equipped with one bow, but also just one arrow and that’s it.
With this single round of ammo, the goal of the game is to defeat over 20 titans, statuesque creatures capable of quite some destruction in their themed arenas. It kind of also channels Shadow of the Colossus this way.
This gameplay trailer takes us through several of these locales, from snowy mountains with rock-throwing yetis, to lava pits and giant skulls with rotating spiked balls beside them. Our favorite in the line of hard to cope bosses would be a giant flower with a set of deadly tentacles.
Since you only have one arrow, you’ll do a lot of running and dodging in Titan Souls. Moreover, the hero in question only has one hit point, so any flaw in character will lead to automatic death.
Titan Souls is one of several new titles that Devolver Digital announced in recent press conferences for PS4. It will also release The Talos Principle, a first-person puzzle game, made by the creators of the Serious Sam Series.
You’ll be able to grab the challenging Titan Souls in early 2015.
