PSN Attackers Forced American Air to Divert The Flight Carrying John Smedley

By   /   Aug 25, 2014

The group called LizardSquad has been creating quite a havoc lately, as this was the group behind the DDoS attacks that affected both PSN and Xbox Live.

Yesterday, this group did something that is even more horrendous as they reported a bomb on American Air flight, which was carrying Sony’s John Smedley.

John Smedley provided details during the flight via his twitter as he stated:

Awesome. Flight diverted to Phoenix for security reasons.

Something about security and our cargo. Sitting on Tarmac.

All is well.

Yes. My plane was diverted. Not going to discuss more than that. Justice will find these guys.

Game Informer has provided latest update on this issue as they were given a statement from Sony, who claimed that this issue is now being handled by FBI and soon the culprits behind this will be caught.

FBI is taking this issue very seriously as they stated that they will investigate what happened:

Today AA Flight 362 traveling from Dallas to San Diego was diverted to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. The flight landed without incident. Passengers were safely removed from the plane.

The investigation is still ongoing.

If the group of people calling themselves LizardSquad is behind all this, then they just have signed their own arrest warrants as FBI will not let this issue go by any means.

We will see how this thing develops and will update the article as soon as we have more.
