The Witcher: Battle Arena Opens Registrations For Android Closed Beta
Registrations are now open for the closed beta of The Witcher: Battle Arena on Android, CD Projekt Red and Fuero Games announced today.
Participants who successfully get into the closed beta will have access to eight of the game’s heroes, all of whom can be played on the two maps: The Arena and Korath Desert. Players will also have personal profiles that develop in an RPG-like fashion as they continue playing.
According to CD Projekt RED, the closed beta is an excellent opportunity for the community to test the core mechanics and provide valuable feedback to the developer to further improve the experience. The developer is strongly looking towards doing balances, fixing potential netcode issues and improving in-game features.
The Witcher: Battle Arena is an attempt at the MOBA genre and is based in the same Witcher universe. There are “no pay-to-win elements” and players have to unlock every content through gameplay.
The Witcher: Battle Arena will release later this year for iOS and Windows Phone as well. According to the developers, focus is on Android devices right now because of the wider range of available hardware.
You can register for the closed beta here.
Let’s not forget that CD Projekt RED is also working on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt which is scheduled for release on February 24, 2015.
