Microsoft has released the August update for Xbox One and it brings numerous new features to the console and most of them are highlighted in the video above.

The biggest feature that will be headed your way with this update is the improved activity feed in Friends as it is more refined and clean than the previous version.

Another addition to the feed is the ability to post statuses, where you will be able to notify everyone about your plans about gaming.

Furthermore, activity feed will now allow you to like, comment and share other people’s content making the use a lot like Facebook.

In addition to improving the activity feed, Microsoft has added the highly requested feature of Mobile Purchases, which will allow you to make purchases via your computer or using the SmartGlass app.

Anything you purchase will be downloaded automatically to your Xbox One and will be ready to be played once you turn on the console later on.

However, you will need to make some changes in your Xbox One power settings and allow “Instant On” and “automatically download updates and purchases” options for it to work.

Moreover, 3D Blu-Ray support is added to the console as well, which was highly requested feature from the fans. Also, a new option is added, which will allow you to turn off the notifications during video playback.
