New Far Cry 4 Trailer Shows Kyrat, A Territory Begging to be Explored

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for their upcoming first person shooter, Far Cry 4. The trailer focuses on the locations of the fictional country, Kyrat, players will be able to visit in the open world game.

The zones are divided into different styled landscapes including lush green fields with a lot of wildlife and people living to the snow-capped peaks of Himalayas where even more dangerous enemies, humans as well as animals reside.

To top that off, the weather and constant avalanches provide an even greater challenge for survival.

Players will also be able to step into a dream realm (kind of like the drug induced hallucinations from Far Cry 3) where they will discover the secrets of the mythical Shangri-La through the eyes of an ancient warrior, aided by a feline white tiger dedicated to protecting the realm.

In Shangri-La, the laws of nature don’t apply anymore as players will encounter strange monsters and enemies which no one could have thought even existed. It’s this Shangri-La which the game’s antagonist Pagan Min is after.

Events happening in Shangri-La have a deep impact on the present state of Kyrat so it’s up to the players to cleanse the area of dark forces and keep it protected.

Far Cry 4 is set to be released on October 18th for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
