Halo 5: Multiplayer Beta Features 7 Maps, and 3 Game Modes
343 Industries has released more details about the multiplayer beta of Halo 5, which will commence later this year.
There will be a total of seven playable maps, the first of which has been revealed to be a return of the classic map Midship from the Halo 2 era. This is the third time that the map is being overhauled for a Halo title. It’s being said that the new version really looks better than any of its predecessors, while maintaining to capture the map’s essence.
The multiplayer beta will feature four versus four matches, with three available game modes. These are assumed to be Capture the Flag, Oddball, and Slayer. As for presets, each player will receive the same loadouts. However, it has not been confirmed as to whether these loadouts will differ with the modes or not.
343 Industries is also bringing back the SMG from Halo 3: ODST, as well as the new weapons – Assault Rifle, BR, DMR, Rocket Launcher and Sniper Rifle.
The developer has confirmed that the beta will run in 60 FPS and there will be dedicated servers. Those who do get into the beta will have any earned items or rewards carried over to the full release of the game.
The Halo 5 Multiplayer beta will launch on December 29 on Xbox One and will run for three straight weeks.
