Meta Knight Joins the Roster of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U & 3DS

By   /   Aug 13, 2014

Meta Knight is returning to take the battle to Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS, Nintendo of Europe has announced.

The character reveal is confirmed by both Nintendo of Europe’s Twitter feed and Director Masahiro Sakurai’s ‘Pic of the Day‘.

Looks like there was an impostor in the earlier posts, so I introduced him to my sword! I’ll leave it up to your imagination if he really said that or not. The veteran hero, Meta Knight, returns to battle!! We didn’t forget the Battleship Halberd either!!

It’s also being reported that Meta Knight’s Shuttle Loop has also seen some changes, like you will no longer see the glide and the attack will slash opponents twice in gigantic loop. Other than this, Battleship Halberd stage will also be returning to the game.

Those who have played Super Smash Bros. Brawl will know that Meta Knight was pretty easy to use with his powerful and relentless attacks. The character was even banned from various international tournaments. Whether he is nerfed down a bit or not, remains to be seen.

Are you finally excited to see Meta Knight or afraid of this overpowered character?
