Tearaway Unfolded Coming to PlayStation 4 in 2015

By   /   Aug 12, 2014

Media Molecule is bringing Tearaway Unfolded to the PlayStation 4 sometime next year, the developer announced today at Sony’s Gamescom 2014 press conference.

Originally released as simply Tearaway on the PlayStation Vita, the new version is an “expanded retelling of the original game” which is built for the PS4 from the ground up.

Doing so allowed Media Molecule to add in new features and capabilities.

Tearaway Unfolded will allow players to use the DualShock 4 controller to interact with the game’s world. In one instance the developer showcased how you can use the light bar to shine a light in the game world to pave the way or grow plants. In another, the developer poked the touch pad and shook the controller to interact with the environment.

“With Tearaway Unfolded, we want to do the same thing, only this time the world is inside your TV and you interact with it using the unique inputs of the controller,” said the studio’s James Spafford.

Tearaway Unfolded will feature 1080p and run at 60fps.
