Developer Bandai Namco, also responsible for Disney Infinity along with the 3DS title Disney Magical Word, is currently working on an Avengers game based on the animated series Marvel Disk Wars.

The game will be published by Disney and characters including Spider Man, Iron Man, Hulk, And Wasp will be playable across Story Mode, Survival Mode and Free Battle Mode.

Players will also be able to swap between different characters by tapping the icons on the touch screen. Disk Wars Avengers: Ultimate Heroes is the second biggest collaboration between Bandai Namco and Disney in over 2 years with the previous one being Magical Word.

As mentioned earlier, the game is based on the animated series aired in Japan which mixed two popular aspects, Avengers and Pokemon. In the series heroes like Iron Man, The Hulk and others are locked up in “disks” and the human characters can summon them when they are needed.

How and if the game will differentiate itself from the series in terms of story and character personalities still remains to be seen. So far, there is no mention of Disk Wars Avengers: Ultimate Heroes coming to the west and is only being released in Japan for Nintendo 3DS on November 13, 2014.
