Wargaming has revealed that their popular MMO title World of Tanks has managed to cross 100 Million registered users, which is quite an achievement for both the developers and the game.

The CEO of Wargaming Victor Kislyi on this glorious achievement stated:

World of Tanks created a new niche in the MMO market. We started on PC, but with other platforms in mind. By the launch of World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition and World of Tanks Blitz we stepped into two new markets, taking our signature gameplay to console and mobile, and it’s the direction we will pursue in future.

The player count of World of Tanks has been increasing steadily since its release and after making its mark on PC, developers announced that they will be bringing their popular MMO title to Xbox 360, which they did earlier this year and now more than 3.8 Million users are registered on the Microsoft’s platform.

In addition to making their game for Xbox 360 and PC, developers also released iOS version of the game called World of Tanks Blitz, which has been installed by the users over 5 million times since its launch a couple of months ago.

Wargaming sure is looking extremely confident to expand its popular title after its success and we very well may see the next-gen version of the game for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the future.
