Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition is Coming to PC
In a press release, Square Enix confirmed that the adventure of detective Wei Shen will be released for PC too in a remastered form.
“LONDON – August 8, 2014 – Square Enix and United Front Games today confirms that SLEEPING DOGS™: DEFINITIVE EDITION is due to launch on the 10th October 2014 in European and PAL territories for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows® PC.”
Furthermore, speaking about the games release on these platforms Dan Sochan Senior Producer at United Front Games added:
It was an exciting opportunity for the original development team to be able revisit a game we’re so passionate about”, said Dan Sochan, Senior Producer at United Front Games.
We’re giving old and new fans a lot reasons to pick up the game, as we’ve gone beyond just increasing resolution and running at 1080p. We listened to the fans: we tuned gameplay, we added to the ambience of Hong Kong, increased audio fidelity and pushed the visuals further than we could on the previous generation of consoles.
Just a few days ago, the developer announced that Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition will make an appearance on Sony’s PS4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One.
PC gamers might be a little surprised by it as we don’t usually get remastered editions on PC. To me, a rework is always welcomed if the game is worthy enough.
The Definitive Edition of the game will include 24 pieces of DLC, including story-continuation Year of the Snake and horror-themed Nightmare In North Point.
Sleeping Dogs: Difinitive Edition for PC, PS4 and Xbox One will be made available of Oct 14, 2014. Pre-orders for PC version of the game though have not started yet.
