Resident Evil Remaster Screenshots Comparison With Wii Version
Since we were having the season of remastered titles, Capcom thought it was a good idea to announce Resident Evil Remaster for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PS3.
However, until now, we didn’t see anything worth calling ‘REMASTERED’ from Capcom since the revealed screengrabs were from last-gen version.
No need to worry, a NeoGaf member Sectus has published some screenshots comparing the good ol’ Wii version with the so-called remastered version. Take a look at them below:
Now, believe me, I’m totally fine with remastered versions, even if they are of more recent titles like Sleeping Dogs or The Last of Us, provided that they are done right unlike Resident Evil Remaster.
It is pretty evident from the screens that while the character models have seen some minor improvement, the backgrounds are simple up-scales with a couple of touch-ups here and there.
But then again, these shots are quite compressed and don’t look native on PS4 or PC. Let’s just hope that the final product will not turn out to be something like this.
Those of you who don’t know, the game was originally released for the GameCube in 2002 and then in 2009 for the Wii. As for this version, it is reported to run at 1080p resolution with 5.1 surround sound audio and will release in 2015.
