Grand Ages: Medieval Announced With a Release Date of 2015

Kalypso Media just made an announcement which would undoubtedly please all fans of the Real Time Strategy genre as well as fans of Grand Ages franchise. The company’s next title of the franchise, after an almost 6 year gap will be released in 2015 for PC.

Grand Ages: Medieval would be the first installment in the series since 2009’s Grande Ages: Rome. The game will be developed by Gaming Mind Studios.

The game is set in 1050 AD during the High Middle Ages while Europe is undergoing rapid growth. Players are tasked with the objective to take control of the society and lead it through these times in order to create a new empire.

Players will have access to almost the whole world as their ‘playground’ in a 30 million square kilometer area extending from Scandinavia and North Africa to Portugal, the Caucasus, and the Middle East.

Grand Ages: Medieval will also contain a free play mode allowing players to set up their own rules, doing whatever they want.

Gameplay will involve players expanding their empire by making armies, conquering other areas, defending territories from barbarians as well as fighting against nature herself in the form of volcanoes, droughts and even the Black Death.

Military is not the only thing which will keep the players alive, they have to establish trade links for their society to thrive, adapt new technologies as well as research for further potential advancements.
