The Last of Us: Remastered Patch 1.02 to Go Live Today in US

Patch 1.02 will release for The Last of Us: Remastered later today in the US, while in Europe it will go live over the weekend.

Posting on its official website, Naughty Dog announced that players should get ready for the new patch which will weigh in at 142 MB.

According to the developer, the patch is intended to amend the current issues with long matchmaking queues. The patch won’t entirely fix the problem but it will bring some degree of improvement. Also the patch will allow Naughty Dog to monitor matchmaking times to improve the problem even further in future updates.

“We’ve deployed several LiveUpdates over the past week in an effort to improve the matchmaking wait times,” wrote Naughty Dog. “Things have definitely improved but there still remains work for us to get the matchmaking experience where we feel it should be.”

In the meanwhile, a relatively simple suggestion is there for those still suffering from long waits before a match. It’s not really guarantee to work every time but you would be surprised.

“If you’ve found yourself waiting what you feel is a very long time to get into a match, quit out of matchmaking and go back into “Find a Match”. Even though this adds an extra step, we’ve found that it sometimes helps players get into matches quicker than continuing to wait.”

Patch 1.02 looks to be just a fix for the multiplayer portion but you can always expect additional tweaks to bring more quality to life.
