Dragon Age: Inquisition New Details – Companion Customization, Swimming and More!

By   /   Aug 8, 2014

Although Electronic Arts is saving up larger chunk of Dragon Age: Inquisition details for the upcoming Gamescom, the game’s Creative Director Mike Laidlaw is actively dropping minor details, primarily in response to fans’ queries.

The first piece of detail is related to swimming in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Despite of the fact that most of the open-world titles tend to include the ability to swim, the upcoming RPG is doing away with it, once again.

Those of you who have played previous two instalments may remember that neither of the two games featured the ability to swim. Whether the feature will be added later, remains to be seen, but it is highly unlikely.

Another query directed to Laidlaw was related to lack of archers’ quivers in recently surfaced combat video. Acknowledging the issue, Laidlaw affirmed that archers will indeed have quivers in the upcoming game.

And lastly, those of you who were rooting to give your companions a new look are out of luck.

Dragon Age official Twitter Feed has confirmed that players won’t be able to change the physical appearance of companions. However, their armour and weapon sets can be changed, as per players’ will.

With Gamescom Cologne close at hand, stay tuned for more Dragon Age: Inquisition details!

Suffering from a recent delay, Dragon Age: Inquisition is now slated to launch on Nov. 18 in North America and Nov. 21 in Europe for PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.
