Ubisoft’s The Crew Might See Another Beta for Both Consoles and PC

By   /   Aug 7, 2014

Ubisoft’s forthcoming massively-multiplayer online racer, The Crew managed to make its mark at E3 2014 followed by a successful closed PC beta.

While speaking to Ubisoft’s Senior Communication Manager, Gary Steinman at San Diego Comic Con 2014, Creative Director of The Crew Julian Gerighty had a thing or two to say about his experience thus far.

Speaking of the sandbox element of the game, Gerighty stated that this is exactly what they were targeting and this is exactly why the setting is so vast and varied with a ton of customization options available:

That was the idea! That’s why the country’s so big, so varied, and we are giving you so many customizations to explore.

Since the last beta was strictly meant for PC players, Gerighty didn’t rule out the possibility of another beta and stated that the studio might include console around this time:

May be. Still under discussion, but I would love to see another beta, at least on PC, may be on some of the consoles.

There you have it folks! It looks like at least PC enthusiasts will receive another chance to explore the streets of the USA in near future. For the complete interview, check out the video above!

The Crew launches on Nov. 11, 2014 on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
