The Pokemon Center Has Been Launched, Features Official Pokemon Merchandise
The Pokémon Company has today officially opened ‘The Pokemon Center,’ an online store that caters to all of your Pokemon needs.
The store mainly deals in official Pokemon merchandise, but also features a video games category. Apart from that, you can find plenty of Pokemon-themed apparels that feature shirts and hats, accessories that include cellphone skins and pins, stationary, drink-wares, a wide variety of plush toys and card games.
The store currently only ships to the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. According to The Pokemon Company, the products in the store are manufactured, tested, and labeled using guidlines for the US, and hence cannot be distributed to other regions.
That being said, I still see this changing somehow in the future, with other regions getting access to the store as well.
In celebration of the store’s opening, The Pokemon Company has released a special Poke Ball Pattern Vivillon in North America for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y owners to download. Vivillon is a special Pokémon with different wing patterns that vary depending on your region. Gamers have until next Tuesday, August 12, to redeem the offer.
In related news, Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire remakes are headed to the 3DS on November 21.
