343 Industries & Microsoft seem all set to bring Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer hands-on experience to Gamescom 2014.

Just recently, 343 Industries shared it plans for the upcoming Gamescom via the Halo Bulletin. The biggest highlight of the studios’ plans is the hands-on demo of Halo 2: Anniversary where the studio will be running a 4 vs. 4 gameplay on Ascension and another unannounced map with multiple game modes.

Swing by the Xbox booth in Hall 6, where we’ll have a bunch of consoles and controllers waiting for you. If you’re at the show, you will have a chance to play Wednesday through Sunday.

Aside from Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer, the studio (in collaboration with ESL and Twitch) will also be conducting a competition for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

This 4 vs. 4 competitions will go on until Sunday where the qualifying teams will compete for a $10,000 prize pot. All the content will be livestreamed via Halo’s official Twitch channel i.e. Twitch.tv/Halo.

The rules are simple: If your team wins 10 matches in a row, you’ll take the top spot on the daily leaderboard, and if another team tops your score (and wins 11 in a row), you’ll need to swing back and reclaim your spot. At the end of each day, the top teams will advance to the Sunday finals.
